Everything about this look from Brock at New York Fashion Week speaks to me: From the slicked down deep side part to the strong but natural brow, from the shimmering rust eye contour to the pale matte lip. And did you notice — hello? A velvety matte face? (Could this be the beginning of the end with our long obsession with dewy?) Regardless, it just may be the prettiest — and most wearable — look coming off the runways in a long time.

Makeup artist Benjamin Puckey was inspired by the Edwardian era and created an “effortlessly romantic” look using Maybelline for Brock at New York Fashion Week fall/winter 2017. “The combination of a dusty cheek and rust colored eye contour gives the girls a softness to their face,” he said.
To achieve the look, Puckey used Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation all over, concealing any blemishes with Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer. Then on eyes, after a cream beige base, he applied the shimmering rust shade from the Blushed Nudes Eye Shadow Palette, concentrating the color on the outer corner of the lid and blending in. On the lower lash line, he applied a shimmering rose gold and soft mauve from the same palette. On cheeks, he applied Color Sensational Inti-matte Nude in Naked Coral with a fluffy brush along the cheekbones, almost like a contour. He finished the look with FaceStudio Master Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighter above the blush and a pat of Color Sensational Inti-Mattte Nude in Hot Sand on the lips.
